eMusic is an excellent service that offers 2 major benefits. One is that they are 100% compatible with all MP3 players, including the exclusive Ipod and even the MACs . Another brilliant benefit to this service is their offer of 25 FREE mp3s that can be download within your free trial. Decide to cancel, no problem, keep them as a gift.

So far so good, right? Well...not so fast. Their service is mediocre, their selection is smaller than Napster, and their pricing plan, if you choose to stay is a bit steep. See details on chart below.

While they still include packages that lower pricing to a low $0.33 per download, you still can't overturn other services ranked higher that offer unlimited downloads, like Napster or Rhapsody

This service tends to hide a lot of hidden pricing within the fine print of their TOS, but for MAC users, this would be your best and cheapest option, ahead of iTunes.
